70th Annual Nirankari Sant Samagam

Samagam Sewa Inauguration
Delhi: October 8, 2017

The Sunday congregation on October 8, 2017 was marked by the inauguration of voluntary Sewa towards preparations for the 70th Annual Nirankari Sant Samagam at Ground No. 2 opposite Nirankari Sarovar Complex, Burari Road in Delhi North. The ceremony was performed before the congregation by Satguru Mata Savinder Hardev Ji Maharaj by a cut in the ground.

On arrival at the venue, Satguru Mata Ji was welcomed with bouquets of flowers on behalf of all the devotees of the Mission by Shri Gobind Singh Ji, Chairman, Central Planning and Advisory Board and Shri V.D. Nagpal Ji, General Secretary, Sant Nirankari Mandal. The Sewadal Mukhya Sanchalak Shri J.S. Khurana and Incharage Layout Shri Mangat Rai assisted Her Holiness in the ceremony.

Immediately after the ceremony, Her Holiness moved on to the main Satsang Pandal where Sewadal Members assembled to seek blessings from Satguru. Rev. V.D. Nagpal Ji, General Secretary of the Sant Nirankari Mandal and Member Incharge Sewadal thanked Satguru Mata Ji for giving the Sewadal and other devotees an opportunity to serve fellow devotees coming to participate in the 70th Annual Nirankari Sant Samagam. He sought blessings from Her Holiness so that every Sewadar is able to do Sewa and earn the blessings of Satguru as well as the Sadh Sangat.

This was followed by regular Sunday congregation. Most of the speakers, however, spoke about service as a prominent means to express one’s devotion to God and seek the blessings of the True Master and fellow devotees. Addressing the congregation Satguru Mata Ji said:

“Saints, as you all saw, the formal Sewa in the Samagam ground has been inaugurated today, even though I visited the grounds several times during last week and found that Sewa was already going on at several places. Saints, while doing Sewa let us not forget that we have to work together as per instructious received from Adhikaris. This occasion for Sewa is not only awaited by devotees in Delhi but saints from various other parts of the country. Even some saints from abroad find time to participate in this Sewa. Saints, it will be appropriate if you do Sewa jointly.

Day before yesterday, in Amritsar also I gave the example of a vehicle’s engine where every part is fitted in its own place. Since every part is working as per its function, the vehicle moves without any problem. Suppose the steering wheel wants to take the place occupied by wheel cup and the brake wants to replace the gear, the car will not be able to move smoothly. On the other hand, it may cause harm only.

Similarly, there is a puzzle where some pieces have to be put together in such a way that they make the photograph printed on the box. If every piece wants to change its place as per its own will, we can never complete the puzzle. In case each piece gets fixed at its proper place, only then we can complete it. Similarly, we have to do Sewa at our respective place, as we are instructed to do.

Saints the devotees in Delhi have another big Sewa for them since Delhi is your home and several saint from far and wide are coming to your house. We always give preference to guest in everything. So, we try our best to provide every facility to the visiting saints.

I pray to God that while doing Sewa we may not forget that every saint is a reflection of the Almighty. We should see to it that we show no disrespect to them. Let us welcome all and treat them with all possible humility. May God bles all to be able to do so.”

Earlier, Rev. V.D. Nagpal Ji, General Secretary and Member Incharge Sewadal said that the regular voluntary Sewa on the grounds will begin from tomorrow in which thousands of devotees from Sadh Sangat in Delhi and Greater Delhi will join the Sewadal in making all the preparation for the Samagam. He appealed to every participant to work with the spirit of devotion and discipline so that all can earn the blessings of Satguru as well as the fellow devotees coming to attend the Samagam. He also appealed to Satguru Mata Ji to bless all so that they can work as expected by her.

Rev. K. R. Chadha Ji Vice-Chairman, Central Planning and Advisory Board announced that like past several years, the Ministry of Railways have given 50 per cent concession for the coming Samagam. He said that all are welcome to attend the Samagam. Even elderly people may not feel discourage. There is ample space in the grounds and if somewhere it has been squeezed, our hearts should be so large that we accommodate everyone.

Rev. Sandeep Gulati Ji from Gurugram who accompanied Satguru Mata Ji during the Salvation tour of Punjab from October 4 to 7, gave details of the journey. He said that everywhere on the way and during the congregations at Ludhiana and Amritsar, we saw an overwhelming enthusiasm among devotees. Satguru Mata Ji also was so kind and generous that everybody was blessed even though Her Holiness had to spend a lot of time and there was hardly any scope for proper rest.
