An Introduction to the Sant Nirankari Mission
The Sant Nirankari Mission is an all-embracing spiritual movement dedicated to peace, love and the establishment of a universal brotherhood under the fatherhood of one God. Through realisation of God the Mission seeks to overcome the barriers that have increasingly separated human beings from one another and their formless Father.
The Mission refers to God as Nirankar – literally meaning ‘that without form’. The Mission believes that this formless can be known, through the direction of a Satguru or spiritual guide, who is personally living in this state of enlightenment. Satguru is the bridge between the seeker and the Supreme Power.
Having high regard for all religious and spiritual movements, the Mission is founded on the belief that ‘true religion united, never divides’. These are the words of Satguru Baba Hardev Ji (“Baba Ji”), the font of spiritual knowledge and leader of the Mission today, Baba Ji does not seek to remove individuality or create uniformity. Rather, he promotes and celebrates unity in diversity.
